Four years of crypt hunts. Same grammar, new paint, new badge.
Halloween is the only season that turns Forgotten Worlds into a scavenger hunt. Virtuality World hides digits, opens a crypt hangout, sometimes brings morphs back, and stamps a badge. This log is year-by-year. For the live hunt, use Halloween crypt and how to get the badge.

2022 — the template
First Event Halloween badge. A hunt video still circulating shows cabin shelves, a look-up to a beam, and a four-digit door. About 90k players earned it — still the largest crypt year by awards. If you played then, every later hunt will feel familiar.
2023 — quieter
Same badge wording, far fewer awards (~26k). Easy to miss if you logged in off-season. The crypt grammar stayed: find numbers, type them, hangout.
2024 — swamp / crystal / puddle
Creator footage names swamp cabin, crystal cave, puddle tree, and a last digit found by elimination. About 44k awards. Comments that year already warned that copying a password from chat failed after a hop.
2025 — first-aid, east edge, swords
Badge awarded to ~56k. Players mentioned first-aid props, the east map edge, numbers that could change hourly, and a sword inside the hangout. A clip titled the update around a sword pickup. Cosmetics vary. The badge text did not: you entered the code and found the secret crypt hangout.
What always returns
- A keypad, not a Twitter code list.
- Per-server (and sometimes per-hour) digits.
- A hangout behind the door.
- A year-stamped badge you cannot farm later.
- Both wolves and trappers allowed in.
What does not return on a schedule

If October starts and this log has not yet named new landmarks, walk the old ones anyway: cabin, swamp, crystal, puddle, east edge, first-aid. Then write down what your server painted. The crypt helper is the checklist form of that sentence.
Off-season, this page is history. Go play wolves and wait for the title or the group shout to say Halloween again.
If you are writing a pack calendar, treat mid-October as the alert window and the first week of November as leftover hangout time if the door is still up. Do not schedule a hunt in March because a code site still ranks for the keyword. Standing promo lists are a different genre; this event is a map. Bring the crypt helper, not a spreadsheet of expired strings.
When a new year starts, we add a section only after badges or footage confirm landmarks. Until then, walk the old grammar. It has been stable since 2022 even when the paint moved. If you only have time for one hunt night, pick a single server, finish the crypt helper table, take the badge, and leave. Morphs are costume. The keypad is the event.
